Where Love Should’ve Grown

I’ve been playing tricks on my heart
’cause I’ve been afraid to open my heart
Love is a dangerous feeling
recklessness can burn a hole where love should’ve grown

I’ve been playing tricks on my heart
’cause I’m afraid to have a broken heart
Afraid to open up to someone who may love me
It hurts cause love can burn a hole where love should’ve grown

I’ve been playing tricks on my heart
I’ve been playing tricks on myself
’cause I’m afraid to get hurt
I’ve distance people from my heart
’cause love can burn a hole where love should’ve grown

I’ve been playing tricks on my heart
’cause I’ve lost too many people close to my heart
Love has caused a hole inside my heart
Love can burn a hole where love should’ve grown

It hurts to see the tricks I play
It hurts those that mean a damn thing to me
I’ve been playing tricks on my heart
’cause love can burn a hole where love should’ve grown

I’ve been playing tricks on my heart
I’ve been playing tricks on myself
I’ve been foolish about love
’cause love can burn a hole where love should’ve grown
